Sri Avinash’s Inspiring Message in Response to COVID-19

Message from Sri Avinash

Friday 20th of March 2020

My heartfelt greetings to all of you.

Due to the current challenging situation that we are facing worldwide with the coronavirus, this morning I thought to share a few words on how to tackle the situation with more of a positive note and see the light amidst the darkness.

Without a doubt the COVID-19 virus has amassed so much fear to humanity worldwide because of its deadly nature and the economic consequences, as we have already seen in the reports from the news and world health authorities. It is quite easy to see why so much fear and panic have taken over our lives globally.
Without ignoring the seriousness of the situation, and using common sense to take the actions needed, I’d like to share how to make the most of this global crisis and, in a sense, squeeze out a bit of goodness from the bad situation.

If we stop and take a deeper look at any major disasters or challenges we have had in our lives, we will be able to see goodness and hidden gifts lying beneath the dark appearance of the situation.

So here is my take on how to make the most of the current difficulties.

The coronavirus has created a situation like never before on the planet, where suddenly with our own eyes we can directly see and experience the interconnectedness of the whole of humanity, where our individual actions and behaviour could have the consequence of saving lives or destroying lives. We can not only see the interconnectedness and oneness of humanity, but also how powerful our little acts of selflessness and good intentions can be.

For example, little actions such as covering our mouth when we cough, turning our head in the opposite direction when we sneeze, washing our hands, and staying at home, could literally save thousands of lives worldwide.

I feel that never before in the history of our planet has the whole of humanity felt so much love for each other globally as we do right now. Even right in the middle of worldwide fear there is still so much love and compassion for all those affected. This is a great sense of caringness and global co-operation and community to work together and help each other to overcome and conquer the crisis we are facing.

And it is an example of the amazing human spirit that we all have within us. A crisis like this can give us the opportunity to see and experience the greatness of our being. It is this same love and care for the world that will help humanity to conquer the emotional viruses of depression and anxiety currently plaguing our planet, not just the COVID-19 virus.

What the coronavirus situation has also done is force the whole world to stop and slow down, and begin to deeply reflect and contemplate on what truly makes us happy. Let us all individually, globally and unitedly make the most of this challenging situation to strengthen our spirit and search for peace within, for the world’s sake, for our families’ sake and for our own peace and happiness.

Here are a few ideas that come to my mind of what we can all do to keep us positive, upbeat and renewed during the difficult times. The first thing is we can take rest for our weary body and tired mind. We can learn some beautiful things such as how to heal ourselves or how to sing with a guitar or other musical instruments, or whatever your heart desires.

You should also make use of this time to be with your family doing nice things at home together like cooking, eating, watching inspiring movies, telling jokes and laughing together, sharing life moments and stories, meditating, healing each other, praying together. Or maybe spend time in solitude reading beautiful inspiring books that move your heart and touch your soul. And last but not least, you could spend time relaxing and doing nothing and enjoying the preciousness of the moment.

So that’s all I have to share on how to make the most of the coronavirus crisis to enhance our lives.

I send all my love and blessings to all of you. In the meantime do take care and stay safe.

With much love
