Article: A Taste of Gratefulness to Transform Your Life

The Good, the Great & the Saint

Living with the Master

“Instead of the good, the bad and the ugly, we should be focused on the good, the great and the Saint,” Sri Avinash shared at dinner. There it was. Boom. I could feel my heart smile and shook my head in quiet amazement. How does he do it? How does he come up with such simple truths that are so relatable to us in this modern day?

It’s incredible to watch the Source flow through him like this, as he so effortlessly guides and inspires us with his wisdom. Even when doing so, you know his boyish grin is never too far away, never taking things too seriously. He likes to play, and he particularly likes to play with words to engage and delight us as he feeds the nectar of his wisdom to us. It’s like honey for the soul.

On that particular evening he was sharing Satsang on how important it is not to judge others.

“When we look at others as bad,” he went on to say, “that is fear-sponsored and we won’t be happy. A lot of our suffering comes from our judgement of others, and our happiness depends upon seeing them as perfect, just as they are.”

Everyday in his presence he shares such beautiful words with us, such incredible Satsang. I am always so moved and find myself wishing I could drink in his words until I am full to the brim with them, until they become words that I myself would speak—oh that’s the goal!
