Merry Christmas 2020
A beautiful message from Master Sri Avinash, reflecting on what has been a difficult year for many, and sharing hope and inspiration from Jesus’ life.
My heartfelt greetings to you all.
Firstly I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a delightful merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous and safe new year for 2021. I hope you are all happy and well wherever you are in the world and whatever situation you may be in.
As you know this year 2020 has been without a doubt one of the most challenging times for all. Humanity has been tested and challenged from every angle. Both our individual and collective human spirit has been deeply tested. I know that whenever we face difficult and daunting times, life can shake us in a big way, but it can only really shake us into fear or shake us into love. We can either let the difficult times turn us into a scar or turn us into a star.
I pray from the bottom of my heart that the hardship of 2020 will turn you all into stars, to be beacons of light for the world.
Every year when Christmas comes again, something in me immediately knows that I am one more year older and perhaps another year wiser. And the wiser part makes me cherish Christmas even more than the year before. I love the fact that millions and millions of people around the world stop to reflect, and celebrate the remembrance of Jesus. His life and who he was, is just an inspiration and an amazing example for the world – a few thousand years ago and also today.
Jesus was truly a gift to the world, a god send. He showed us the way, to rise above our fear, to love and not hate, to give and forgive, to have unshakable faith, to live with courage and mercy, and to unite and love each other as one human family. When I reflect on Jesus’ life, the tremendous and unspeakable challenges he had to face in his life, and never for a moment did fear overtake him. He would always choose love in every moment of difficulty. Love and faith were truly his dearest friends. May our lives be a beautiful message of how great a Master he was and how he lived.
I would like to end this message with my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have supported our Mission throughout the year in the many ways that you have done. On behalf of all the volunteers at the Sri Avinash Do Mission, we are truly touched by your love and selflessness. Good on you.
May you all be blessed with goodness, strength and overflowing love for every aspect of your life during the Christmas festive season, and for every moment of your life.
